Who runs the PrivatiPaskola classifieds portal

PrivatiPaskola.lt is a private-loan classifieds portal — a place where people post their loan offers and requests and find one another. We are not a bank, a lender or an intermediary. On this page we explain honestly who we are, how the portal works and the principles we follow.

Operator

The portal is run by NET Partner OÜ — an Estonian company that has worked on web projects since 2007. We are a small independent team from Narva; we build and maintain this platform, its support and all of its content ourselves. There is no bank or loan office behind us — that matters, because it keeps the portal impartial. In Lithuania the service is provided under the EU freedom to provide services.

What we do

  • We run a classifieds portal where private individuals can post loan offers and requests.
  • We moderate listings and block obvious fraud and spam.
  • We explain risks, costs and laws honestly — so both sides decide with open eyes.
  • We protect privacy: contact details are hidden by default.
  • How the portal works is described in our terms of use.

What we do NOT do

  • We do not lend and do not intermediate — we are neither a lender nor a credit intermediary.
  • We do not assess anyone's creditworthiness and do not run credit checks.
  • We do not move money between parties and do not hold it — the deal happens directly between the parties.
  • We do not sign loan agreements and are not liable for the outcome of a deal.
  • We are not a peer-to-peer (P2P) platform — that activity in Lithuania is supervised and licensed by the Bank of Lithuania. We are only a classifieds board.

Our editorial principles

Alongside the portal we publish guides and explanations about borrowing. Because this is about money, we keep the content honest and verified. Our principles:

  • 01Sources are public and verifiable. We rely on Lithuanian law (Civil Code Art. 6.870–6.875 on the loan agreement) and public data from the Bank of Lithuania, VVTAT and VDAI — not rumours.
  • 02Risks are stated honestly. We do not gloss over borrowing. If something is expensive, risky or restricted by law, we write it plainly.
  • 03No fabricated reviews. We do not publish fake stars or paid-for "feedback". If something has not been verified yet, we say so.
  • 04Independence. The portal belongs to no loan office, so we do not steer anyone to the "right" lender. We show the options and explain — the decision stays with the reader.
  • 05Updated content. Laws and the market change; we mark the last-updated date on pages and fix outdated information.

Responsible borrowing

The portal's existence is not a call to take a loan. Reading a listing, posting one or considering a loan does not make anyone a debtor — it is simply information and a choice. Our stance is simple:

  • Borrow only what you are sure you can repay.
  • Before agreeing, work out the total cost, not just the monthly payment — use the calculator.
  • Put the agreement in writing — see the loan-agreement template.
  • If you lend to someone, remember the money may not come back — lend only what you can afford to lose.
  • If you hit payment trouble, turn to VVTAT for consumer-rights help, not to a new loan.

PrivatiPaskola is a portal that offers an opportunity and warns about risks — for both sides, borrower and lender alike. A loan between two private individuals is not consumer credit; disputes are settled by a court (Civil Code 6.870–6.875).

How the portal works

  1. 1
    Post a listing

Describe how much and on what terms you want to borrow or offer. On this new portal the first listings are free.

  2. 2
The other side gets in touch

Interested people see your listing on the board and write to you directly. We do not step into the conversation.

  3. 3
    You agree between yourselves

The terms, the contract and the movement of money are entirely between the parties. We recommend a written agreement and caution.

A listing stays active for 30 days, then moves to the archive (we do not delete it). We remove obvious fraud and spam and verify company listings against the Register of Legal Entities — but we do not assess private individuals' solvency. Any dispute is settled between the parties or in court: the portal is not a party to the deal and does not mediate (Civil Code 6.870–6.875).
